I enjoy pushing the boundaries of what AI can do, but I believe its true power still lies in the hands of the creator. AI is a tool, not a replacement. It helps us shape the stories we want to tell, letting us previsualize, conceptualize, and explore before bringing ideas to life. It supports the creative process but never replaces it.

FLOE, shown to the Left , is a short visual piece I created using Runway Gen 4 before reference images were available. It is a brief and impressionistic look at growing up, just a flash of memory and feeling. All the visuals were generated using AI, but I edited the piece in Premiere Pro. This was a personal experiment in using generative tools to express something human through story and emotion. And beautifully put to Phillip Glasses piece Floe. This project was a part of the inaugural year of NYU’s Masters in Virtual Production program where we took a class on Generative AI in Virtual Production. The course was taught by artist and Runway Creative Partner Leilanni Todd.

Read more about the class here. (you can even spot me in the group photo)

This led me to explore collaborative workflows with other AI creators, experimenting with tools like Runway, Google Veo, Claude, and many other emerging models. Coming from a background in production and post, I understand how this new wave of AI can feel daunting and unfamiliar. But I’m drawn to exploring how it can be integrated in ways that make our day-to-day creative work faster and more efficient—without sacrificing originality or artistic integrity. My goal is to find the balance, where these tools support the process rather than replace it.

Man Made

Below you’ll find a small zine I created with the help of Runway Gen4.

Premise: Digital Devils monitor everything you think or search

Three black-and-white illustrated book covers with themes of technology and cyberpunk. The first cover shows a robotic insect with wings, titled 'Digital Devil' by Chris Smith. The second depicts a large, detailed human eye surrounded by circuitry. The third features a female cybernetic with horns and a mechanical face profile, labeled 'File Corrupted'.
Black and white concept art showing a futuristic robot, a brain, and mechanical objects on a sci-fi background.
Two futuristic cityscape images with overlaid text. The left one says 'SCANNING' and the right one says 'SEARCH HISTORY BETTER BE CLEAN'.
A detailed illustration of a futuristic robotic warrior with wires and mechanical parts, next to a humanoid skull with mechanical wings. Text indicates a blurred line between code and curse in the future.
A collage of three technological images: the first shows a finger touching a device port with wireless connections, the second depicts a digital hand emerging from a digital interface, and the third is a technical drawing of a robotic hand.
A three-panel comic-style illustration with abstract sci-fi elements. The first panel shows a surreal cityscape with the text "But be careful not to think too much," the second panel depicts a geometric, futuristic structure with the phrase "Otherwise...," and the third panel features a brain surrounded by digital lines with the text "ERROR: 404."
