I enjoy pushing the boundaries of what AI can do, but I believe its true power still lies in the hands of the creator. AI is a tool, not a replacement. It helps us shape the stories we want to tell, letting us previsualize, conceptualize, and explore before bringing ideas to life. It supports the creative process but never replaces it.
FLOE, shown to the Left , is a short visual piece I created using Runway Gen 4 before reference images were available. It is a brief and impressionistic look at growing up, just a flash of memory and feeling. All the visuals were generated using AI, but I edited the piece in Premiere Pro. This was a personal experiment in using generative tools to express something human through story and emotion. And beautifully put to Phillip Glasses piece Floe. This project was a part of the inaugural year of NYU’s Masters in Virtual Production program where we took a class on Generative AI in Virtual Production. The course was taught by artist and Runway Creative Partner Leilanni Todd.

This led me to explore collaborative workflows with other AI creators, experimenting with tools like Runway, Google Veo, Claude, and many other emerging models. Coming from a background in production and post, I understand how this new wave of AI can feel daunting and unfamiliar. But I’m drawn to exploring how it can be integrated in ways that make our day-to-day creative work faster and more efficient—without sacrificing originality or artistic integrity. My goal is to find the balance, where these tools support the process rather than replace it.
